The Taoiseach: I do not consider such participation to be desirable and I have informed the Government accordingly.
Mr. Quinn: Can the Taoiseach confirm that he has formally recommended to all the members of the Cabinet and the Ministers of State telling them not to participate in the activities of illegal stations?
The Taoiseach: I do not think it is necessary for me to indicate to the House the precise way in which I communicate with my colleagues in the Government but, for the benefit of the Deputy, it was not necessary for me to write formally to each Minister on this occasion. I availed of another method of communication.
Mr. Quinn: Can I take it that the Minister for Health ,who is present in the House, will not be performing next year on Radio Nova?
The Taoiseach: The only thing I know about the Minister for Health in that connection is that he is a first-class vocalist, an excellent singer.
