Technical writer Brian Aird specializes in creating web site content, on-line help and user documentation for the broadcast, telecommunication and new media industries.

Brian is used to liaising with product managers, software writers and hardware engineers to produce clear easy-to-follow web content and printed documentation to tight deadlines. Costs are reasonable, usually negotiable and estimates can be produced if required.

He has supplied technical writing services for over five years and has a client list that includes Sony, Hewlett Packard, EMS Systems, Philips, Zandar, Pro-bel, Chromatec, Crystal Vision, dB Broadcast and many others.

In addition to his extensive experience of producing manuals, white papers and other technical documents, Brian has also prepared proposals for broadcast television systems for Sony, Philips, BBC Technology and EMS Systems. He has also designed custom hardware for the BBC and written software for a computer magazine.

Brian is educated to degree level in telecommunications and computing, has experience of programming in HTML, Pascal, Basic and Assembler, authoring in Word, Framemaker, RoboHelp and Ventura, web design with Front Page and Dreamweaver as well as graphics design using Corel Draw, Illustrator and Photoshop.

He is an occasional contributor to pan-European broadcast technology magazine, TVB Europe and was nominated for BT technical journalist of the year in 1992.
